We are happy to announce that we are starting a new beginners Aikido course in our Wicklow Aikido Club venues! 

This course will run for 10 weeks, and will start on October 6th, through to December 10th. Course fee is €100, and is suitable for people with no experience at all, right through to people who have intermediate experience but maybe haven’t practiced in some years, or have practiced with other groups. This may also be a good opportunity for returning members to find their practice again!

Classes are taught by Irish Aikido Federation Technical Director, Seán MacRuairí, 7th Dan Shihan. 

Our Kilmacanogue class is in Kilmacanogue GAA, every Tuesday at 7pm. This beginner’s course begins on Tuesday October 6th and runs every Tuesday until December 8th!

(No class in Kilmacanogue Tuesday 15th September).

Our Ashford class is in Ashford National School, every Thursday at 7pm- this course starting on Thursday October 8th and running for 10 weeks until December 10th.

Any Wicklow Aikido Club member is welcome to attend in either venue. We also offer student fees and a shared membership scheme with the Irish Aikido Federation Dublin clubs (City Centre & Tallaght).

A 10 week beginner’s course is a great way to build a strong foundation for engaging with the martial practice, and build a fitness and flexibility base to train from.

Classes:

Tuesday: 19:00 - 20:30 (Kilmacanogue)

Thursday: 19:00 - 20:30 (Ashford)

(2 minutes walk from 133 Stop, Ashford)

Classes are for all 12+ (under 18's should attend first with an adult).

(Please arrive about 20 minutes early to allow time for changing, placing mats, and some warming up)

Fees:

First class is free! 

There are also discounted rates for students and youth (primary up to third level), listed below.

The first classes can be paid pay-as-you-go if the circumstances require.

Aikido Centre Dublin offers a shared membership scheme with the Wicklow Aikido Club. Please contact us for more details.
